Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Cross Functional Integrations (XFI) team within the Cloud Integration Group, you will contribute to the integration of Post Delivery Protection & Response threat defense software with Microsoft and Google email platforms through APIs for inbound and outbound traffic. This is an exciting period as the team is preparing to scale XFI services and extend integrations with Microsoft and other email providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver solutions for complex technical challenges.
• Design and implement reliable distributed systems managing large data volumes with low latency.
• Maintain and support critical business systems focusing on scalability and latency.
• Deploy production code daily using continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Address challenges involving processing sensitive data securely.
• Adopt security-first principles in development.
• Contribute significantly to ambitious projects and iterations.

Technologies and Methodologies

The XFI team utilizes a robust technology stack including Python 3.10 and other object-oriented programming languages, AWS services (such as SQS, SNS, ECS, ECR, Lambda), NoSQL and SQL databases like DynamoDB and Postgres, infrastructure automation with Terraform, and DevOps practices using CircleCI, Docker containerization, Git, and GitHub.

Research and Development Focus

The team's research extends to enhancing user experience with products on Outlook clients (desktop and OWA) across Windows and Mac platforms, focusing on strengthening the Human Security Layer. Additionally, the team constantly monitors production environments to identify future improvements guided by product usage data.
