Java Software Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Java Software Engineer proficient in Java programming and experienced in working with Apache Flink and AWS services such as EKS and S3. This role centers around building backend services focused on extensive file processing capabilities.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, create, and support efficient Java backend services.
• Manage large-scale file processing on Virtual Storage Interfaces (VSIs) and Amazon S3.
• Develop streaming and batch data processing pipelines using Apache Flink within the AWS ecosystem.
• Deploy applications on Kubernetes adopting cloud-native patterns that emphasize fault tolerance, high availability, and disaster recovery through multi-region, share-nothing architecture.
• Build secure, scalable, well-documented, and version-controlled REST APIs with comprehensive error management.
• Implement service registries to enable dynamic service discovery within microservices architectures.
• Leverage AI-assisted development platforms like GitHub Copilot and Claude to optimize development efficiency and code quality.

Required Expertise

• Proficient in Java and object-oriented programming fundamentals.
• Experience in designing custom frameworks and reusable software components.
• Hands-on involvement with file processing on VSIs and Amazon S3, specifically handling large files at scale.
• Familiarity with Apache Flink is preferred.
• Experience with messaging and streaming technologies such as MQ and Kafka.
• Competency with Kubernetes and cloud-native application design.
• Practical knowledge of AWS platforms and services is recommended.
• Designing multi-region, highly resilient distributed architectures.
• Working effectively in agile, self-organized teams.
