Job description

Overview

This role seeks a senior Security Specialist who operates as a customer-facing leader, aiming to drive cybersecurity transformation across enterprises and public sectors. The candidate leads strategic engagements, focusing on security aligned with business risk, AI transformations, and compliance requirements. They manage the entire sales process while coordinating virtual teams across sales, technical, and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Forge trusted relationships with senior technology and business leaders such as CISOs and CIOs to solve complex security challenges and assist in transformation initiatives.
  • Lead strategic engagements utilizing the Microsoft Security portfolio to position security as a key enabler for business innovation, growth, and resilience.
  • Manage and close a robust sales pipeline to drive revenue growth and expansion within existing customer accounts.
  • Act as a trusted consultant, translating client security and compliance needs into strategic business solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional virtual teams to ensure successful customer outcomes and accelerate deal closures.
  • Align Microsoft Security offerings with customer priorities like cloud modernization, data protection, compliance, security operations, and AI-driven transformation.
  • Establish and nurture executive relationships, influencing decision-making across customer organizations.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of cybersecurity trends, threats, and market changes to provide forward-thinking guidance.
  • Collaborate with partners and internal teams to identify prospects, overcome obstacles, and maximize customer success.
  • Drive continued customer engagement to realize measurable business value from Microsoft security investments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of solution sales or pre-sales in cloud technologies related to Cybersecurity, Compliance, Governance, and Risk; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field, plus at least 8 years of relevant sales or pre-sales experience; or
  • Master’s degree in a related discipline such as MBA or Information Technology, with 7+ years relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling or supporting enterprise security solutions, familiar with leading security platforms.
  • Experience competing with or against other security vendors and solutions.
  • Strong grasp of security operations, threat detection, identity management, compliance, and cloud security.
  • Proven capability to influence senior technical and business decision-makers.
