Site Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager

In this role, you will focus on preventing incidents and illnesses by managing high-risk activities, planning emergency responses, and enforcing safety procedures within our data center operations. You will ensure a secure and healthy workspace by spotting risks and unsafe behaviours, applying mitigation controls, tracking performance, and ensuring compliance with Microsoft's standards and relevant laws. Responsibilities

• Act as the main liaison responsible for deploying EHS programs at designated Microsoft data centers within the region.
• Ensure achievement of EHS performance goals and drive execution of annual improvement plans.
• Regularly conduct inspections, audits, and evaluations of work practices to verify adherence to regulatory and corporate safety standards.
• Perform risk and exposure assessments across various hazard classifications.
• Support the investigation of incidents and root cause analyses, facilitating communication and implementation of corrective and preventive measures on a global scale.
• Deliver regulatory-compliant training programs to meet EHS obligations.
• Exemplify Microsoft’s culture and values in all activities.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Safety and Health Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline coupled with at least 4 years of experience with Environmental Health and Safety regulations worldwide, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field plus 8+ years’ experience in global EHS regulations.
• Or a Master’s degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related discipline and at least 6 years of corresponding experience.
• Equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.

Additional Information

• This role requires successful completion of specialized security screening, including the Microsoft Cloud background check at hiring and every two years thereafter.
