Data Center Logistics Technician

Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned duties efficiently and proactively escalate challenges during periods of high volume or critical incidents.
• Collaborate with suppliers to initiate warranty claims and manage the process of packaging, shipping, and receiving return merchandise authorization (RMA) devices in line with established SLAs.
• Utilize process expertise to accomplish tasks independently with minimal oversight.
• Maintain a vigilant understanding of how your tasks affect overall ticket resolution and inventory/asset management functions.
• Keep accurate, up-to-date records in various inventory management platforms including configuration management and asset repositories.
• Ensure thorough physical tracking and preparation of inventory assets.
• Assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies within inventory reports.
• Execute destruction procedures for data-bearing devices adhering strictly to company policies and SLAs.
• Inform management about stock shortages and escalate issues as necessary.
• Follow security protocols and data handling policies diligently.
• Personify Microsoft’s organizational culture and values in daily work.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma supplemented by experience in warehouse, supply chain, or related inventory management fields within IT or retail environments, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Willingness and ability to work various shifts, including evening, night, weekend, and holiday schedules.

Security Screening

• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks at hire and biennially thereafter as part of compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in IT logistics, warehouse supply chains, or operation of heavy-load equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks within a large organization, or comparable experience.
