Job description
Overview
This position involves executing various process engineering functions within a plant environment. Key responsibilities include overseeing plant and facility performance, compiling daily performance reports, and suggesting corrective measures to address operational irregularities. The role also encompasses conducting studies aimed at developing, testing, and applying modifications to plant operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Monitor plant and facility operations to ensure optimal performance.
- Prepare daily summaries of performance metrics.
- Recommend and implement corrective actions to resolve abnormalities.
- Conduct research and evaluations to improve plant processes and operations.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least six years of practical experience in process or operations within a refinery or Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) manufacturing plant.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Expertise in process simulation software related to refinery or LAB plants.
- Proficient in using refinery information systems such as RIS, Process Historian Data (PHD), laboratory information systems, SAP, automation software for off-site operations, and general PC applications including Microsoft Project, Excel, and presentation/graphics tools.
- Familiarity with ISO standards including 9001:2015, 17025, and 14000, enabling effective implementation of the refinery's Integrated Management System (IMS) procedures.
- Comprehensive understanding of international standards relevant to refinery operations.
- Strong analytical capabilities concerning refinery and LAB plant economic considerations.
- Competent in preparing technical documentation and delivering presentations.
Educational Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Processing Engineering is mandatory.
