Job description
Job Overview
This role involves conducting comprehensive studies, developing, evaluating, and initiating plans for electrical infrastructure projects to support growth within Industrial Cities Directorate, including Ports. The position ensures infrastructure readiness to meet the needs of current and future Asset Operators, Business Partners, and Industries. The engineer will also provide technical guidance and assistance related to common and shared electrical infrastructure facilities in Industrial Cities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and liaise effectively with Asset Operators, Business Partners, QatarEnergy Surface Development, KAHRAMAA, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Identify and develop synergy opportunities amongst stakeholders.
- Execute necessary conceptual studies, develop planning documents, project concepts, engineering designs, and project execution strategies and activities.
Experience and Skills Required
- At least 10 years of experience in design, engineering, and construction of major electrical infrastructure and facilities projects within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors; preferably 8-10 years within consulting or engineering firms.
- Strong exposure to project lifecycle management and project oversight with proven supervisory abilities.
- Experience working internationally with sensitivity to diverse cultures.
Educational Requirements
Possession of an internationally recognized Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
