Senior Network Engineer

About the Role

Reporting to the Team Leader of Service Delivery within the Fault Repair function, this role focuses on ensuring uninterrupted customer network services and maintaining network elements at the field level in the designated geographical area.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure a guaranteed 99.99% customer uptime across the network.
• Maintain network switches in accordance with established standards.
• Support cross-functional teams by providing timely connectivity solutions.
• Manage and update the network database; generate periodic reports for management review.
• Respond promptly to customer complaints in the field, ensuring resolutions within defined timeframes.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to provide swift complaint resolution.
• Monitor Network Management Systems (NMS) using relevant applications, initiating appropriate actions based on system events.
• Investigate recurring complaints and drive corrective actions, engaging escalations when necessary.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and cardinal rules to ensure workplace safety.
• Follow established processes to maintain consistency and quality.
• Provide structured feedback to management aimed at developing long-term service improvements.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Educational qualification of Graduate, Diploma, or ITI in any discipline; certifications such as Hardware & Networking, MCSE, and CCNA are preferred.
• 1 to 5 years of practical experience, specifically in troubleshooting networking and hardware issues.
