Senior Java Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer skilled in creating robust backend systems and distributed services. This role involves taking full ownership of critical software modules, influencing design and development processes, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to produce secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, test, and integrate Java applications and services.
• Manage end-to-end software development lifecycle for assigned modules independently.
• Develop and optimize RESTful web services and microservices to support scalable platforms.
• Work alongside product managers, engineers, and QA teams to interpret requirements and implement new functionality.
• Review functional specifications and deliver actionable, practical technical feedback.
• Adhere to Agile methodologies and SDLC processes to ensure consistent and predictable delivery.
• Ensure code quality via testing, integration, peer review, and debugging efforts.
• Enhance the performance, reliability, and scalability of systems handling high traffic volumes.
• Mentor junior developers and foster knowledge sharing within the team.

How You Will Do It

• Be fully responsible for your modules, guaranteeing high quality, timely delivery, and sustainability over time.
• Engage early with requirements, swiftly eliminate impediments, and focus on customer-centric value creation.
• Leverage Agile and SDLC best practices to produce incremental, reviewable code and incorporate ongoing feedback.
• Apply expert knowledge of Java, data structures, and algorithms to design performant and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate transparently with teammates across development, testing, and product teams, promoting open communication and mutual respect.

Qualifications

• 9 to 12 years of professional software development experience, with extensive hands-on Java expertise.
• Proficient with Java 8 features and enhancements.
• Well-versed in Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and RESTful service development.
• Skilled in designing and implementing scalable, distributed software products or services.
• Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.
• Experience working within Agile frameworks and following standardized SDLC methodologies.
• Effective communicator capable of collaborating across diverse teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Science, or Information Science Engineering.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Apache Kafka for messaging.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL databases.
• Exposure to Cloud Pub/Sub messaging services.
• Background in Big Data technologies.
• Experience on Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git version control.
• Proficient in performance tuning and scalability improvements for cloud-native high-volume systems.
