Role Overview
As a Building Management Systems Service Technician, you will serve as Johnson Controls' on-site representative, influencing the evolution of clients' BMS infrastructure. Your role involves close collaboration with customers and project teams to ensure successful service delivery and uncover business expansion opportunities within Johnson Controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute assigned service duties effectively, prioritizing customer satisfaction
- Set up and commission building control and network controllers
- Maintain system documentation and update software per established standards
- Document all service operations and generate detailed reports
- Adhere to safety protocols with a commitment to a Zero Harm culture
- Assist Key Account Managers in project pricing and system design
- Promote Johnson Controls' cloud-based and OpenBlue technologies
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of five years' experience as a service engineer specializing in control systems
- Hold an HNC or HND (or equivalent) qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Professional certifications or diplomas in related fields are a plus
- Familiarity with Metasys systems is beneficial
- Excellent communication abilities to convey technical information to non-experts
- Proficient with computer applications, particularly MS Office suite
- Valid full clean driving license for Ireland
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Willing to undertake overtime and participate in an out-of-hours callout schedule

This position is mobile and requires travel across various client locations in Dublin, Ireland.
