Role Overview

As a Senior Java Developer, you will help shape the future of customer interfaces by working with a client who leads in cloud contact center software. This role involves designing and enhancing the platform services underpinning mission-critical applications, focusing on highly scalable, reliable microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be tasked with addressing complex challenges in distributed systems using your cloud computing and software development expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop the next iteration of a SaaS platform integrating AI technologies to optimize customer service within contact centers.
• Design, build, and sustain highly available and scalable microservices.
• Utilize advanced cloud computing techniques and open-source software tools to tackle intricate platform problems.
• Gain in-depth understanding of current systems and actively participate in their modernization efforts.
• Provide production support by diagnosing and resolving issues through deep technical investigation.
• Collaborate effectively with peers in a dynamic, high-performance team while exhibiting ownership and accountability.

Qualifications and Experience

• More than 6 years' professional experience developing software with Java and Spring Boot.
• At least 3 years working with public cloud environments, preferably GCP, but AWS or Azure experience is also acceptable.
• Practical expertise with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing scalable, highly available systems.
• Strong grasp of cloud architecture principles including virtualization, distributed computing, load balancing, networking, event-driven processing, large-scale data storage, and security best practices.
• Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Hands-on knowledge of GCP services, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, App Engine, and Cloud SQL.
  • Experience with Continuous Delivery methodologies encompassing development, testing, deployment, and operational management on GCP.
