Senior Engineer - Cloud & Systems

Role Overview

This senior engineering role involves leadership and comprehensive management of enterprise Windows infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud platforms. The candidate will lead the administration and continuous improvement of Active Directory, VMware environments, Microsoft Azure cloud services, and Microsoft 365 SaaS tenant operations.

Administrative Duties

• Oversee enterprise Windows, virtualization, and cloud systems management.
• Optimize Active Directory and core infrastructure services administration.
• Manage VMware virtualization platforms, including high availability, dynamic resource scheduling, and live migration technologies.
• Lead Azure IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid services control such as virtual machines, network configurations, storage solutions, monitoring, automation, and security key management.
• Administer Microsoft 365 SaaS services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and security tools.
• Ensure patching, vulnerability fix implementation, OS hardening, and endpoint management across hybrid ecosystems.
• Maintain operational documentation and coordinate with security, compliance, and architecture teams as well as external vendors.

Functional Responsibilities

• Deliver expert functional support and design for enterprise Windows Server and hybrid cloud environments.
• Manage core network services, cluster operations, and VMware infrastructure functions.
• Architect and maintain Azure cloud services tailored to business needs with a focus on security and compliance.
• Lead advanced support activities including complex incident resolution, root cause analysis, and service enhancement initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certifications including VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSA/MCSD, ITIL V3/V4 Foundation, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, and Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• 5 to 8 years of extensive IT experience focused on Windows Server, cloud infrastructures, and virtualization platforms.

Technical Skills

• In-depth knowledge of Windows Server architecture, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, NTP, and Failover Clustering.
• Expertise in VMware technologies including HA, DRS, clusters, and vMotion.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Azure services such as VMs, VM Scale Sets, VNets, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Storage, Monitoring, Update Management, Automation, Policy, Key Vault, and Azure VMware Services.
• Strong experience managing Microsoft 365 SaaS services and security tools such as Microsoft Defender and Intune.
• Well-versed in patch management, vulnerability remediation, OS hardening, and endpoint lifecycle management tools like SCCM and Intune.
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments.
