Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (GCP)

Role Overview

We seek a proficient Senior Cloud Platform Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to architect, implement, and support large-scale enterprise cloud environments. This position suits a technically skilled cloud engineer focused on infrastructure automation, platform enablement, and DevOps practices to deliver scalable, secure, and highly automated cloud infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructures for enterprise use.
• Develop secure, scalable cloud landing zones leveraging Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Create and upkeep reusable Terraform modules adhering to engineering best standards.
• Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support infrastructure and platform automation effectively.
• Contribute to cloud migration and modernization efforts for applications.
• Enforce cloud networking, Identity and Access Management (IAM), security, and governance best practices.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes environments, specifically Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to enable scalable cloud-native solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve complex cloud platform challenges, providing expert technical guidance.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in Cloud Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or DevOps roles.
• Extensive hands-on proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• In-depth expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade cloud landing zones.
• Strong familiarity with Git-based CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Google Cloud Build.
• Experience managing Kubernetes (GKE), cloud networking, IAM, and implementing cloud security best practices.
• Track record of supporting cloud migration and application modernization initiatives.
• Exceptional skills in troubleshooting, communication, and managing stakeholder expectations.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Fabric FAST or enterprise landing zone frameworks.
• Experience in cloud governance, monitoring, and logging tools.
• Exposure to working in large-scale enterprise IT environments.
• Relevant Google Cloud certifications such as Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Network Engineer, or Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
