Network Administrator

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Network & Security Administrator/Engineer to oversee and safeguard our enterprise network infrastructure. The focal areas of this position include managing core routing and switching across next-generation firewalls, maintaining high availability with load balancing solutions, securing web applications, and administering advanced security systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, deploy, and troubleshoot routing and switching environments across multiple NGFW vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.
• Implement, maintain, and optimize load balancing and web application firewall solutions, with an emphasis on Array Networks technology.
• Administer enterprise security solutions including sandboxing, SIEM platforms, and endpoint protection suites from Fortinet and Symantec.
• Oversee network performance and availability monitoring using tools like ITRS Opsview or equivalent enterprise monitoring software.
• Manage incident, problem, and service request lifecycles in accordance with ITIL best practices.
• Investigate and resolve complex network issues involving packet loss, latency, and connectivity outages.
• Maintain thorough documentation of network configurations, topology diagrams, standard operating procedures, and change management records.

Qualifications and Skills

• Mandatory practical experience in routing and switching with multi-vendor NGFW technologies including Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.
• Demonstrated administration expertise for load balancing and WAF solutions, particularly Array Networks.
• Familiarity with enterprise security platforms such as SIEM, sandboxing, and endpoint protection solutions by Symantec and Fortinet.
• Experience utilizing network monitoring tools like ITRS Opsview or similar, alongside ITIL-based ticketing systems.
• Strong grasp of ITIL frameworks and established IT service management procedures.
• Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and troubleshooting skills in network environments.

Experience

• Proven network administrator or network security engineer background, managing next-generation firewalls including Cisco, Palo Alto, and FortiGate as well as Array Networks ADC and WAF systems.
• Experience handling enterprise deployments of Fortinet and Symantec security suites.
• Operational experience in ITIL-guided organizations, managing incident and change workflows effectively.

Educational Credentials

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or closely related technical field.
• Professional certifications preferred: CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE 4+, and ITIL Foundation.
