Job Overview

We seek a seasoned Senior BIM Coordinator based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to lead the development and management of Building Information Models across multiple disciplines. This role demands driving BIM excellence, fostering innovation, and mentoring team members to incorporate best practices, ensuring superior BIM outputs aligned with project goals and contractual demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and oversee detailed BIM models using industry-standard tools, ensuring precision and compliance with project requirements.
• Direct clash detection and resolution efforts among structural, MEP, and architectural designs, document results, and coordinate timely remedies with involved teams.
• Develop and continually enhance BIM standards, naming conventions, and modeling protocols to maintain consistency and quality across projects.
• Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to validate model accuracy and conformity with Saudi building codes and project specifications.
• Produce technical documentation, construction drawings, schedules, and visualizations derived from BIM to assist construction and project delivery.
• Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on BIM models to ensure adherence to specifications, codes, and contract requirements.
• Lead coordination meetings, monitor issue progress, enforce corrective actions, and maintain open communication among project groups.
• Guide and mentor junior BIM coordinators to encourage adoption of industry best practices and continuous professional growth.
• Coordinate with project managers to guarantee BIM deliverables are timely, contractual, and meet quality benchmarks.
• Keep abreast of emerging BIM technologies, industry trends, and evolving standards to introduce innovative practices within the organization.
• Handle model federation, integration workflows, and manage complex multi-discipline coordination scenarios.
• Participate in refining organizational BIM strategies and operational processes.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of professional experience in BIM coordination, structural engineering, MEP coordination, or similar roles within AEC sectors.
• Expert-level skills in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or comparable BIM software platforms.
• Proven expertise in BIM coordination workflows including clash detection, model integration, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Strong familiarity with BIM standards such as ISO 19650 or equivalent protocols.
• Sound knowledge of structural engineering, MEP systems, building codes, and construction methodologies.
• Competency in 3D visualization, rendering, and effective model presentations.
• Experience using project management software and document control tools.
• Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with success managing multiple complex projects at once.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working across multidisciplinary teams.
• Leadership background with experience mentoring junior staff and promoting best practices.
• Understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and contract administration.
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabian building standards and local construction practices preferred.
• BIM certifications and advanced proficiency in tools like Solibri, Synchro, or comparable programs are advantageous.
