BIM Coordinator - ELV Systems

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled BIM Coordinator with expertise in ELV systems to join a leading construction company in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role focuses on advanced digital construction processes, interdisciplinary BIM coordination, and delivering superior BIM solutions across high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project BIM Manager in enforcing BIM standards, Information Management workflows, and digital delivery processes tailored for ELV systems.
• Create, coordinate, and manage detailed BIM models for ICT, ELV, AV, Security, and Smart technology systems.
• Develop and maintain Revit families, templates, and BIM content libraries specific to disciplines.
• Ensure compliance of BIM models with project specifications, company BIM protocols, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and ISO 19650 standards.
• Lead coordination efforts such as clash detection, issue log management, collaboration meetings, and RFI assistance.
• Distribute updated, coordinated BIM models and deliverables using Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, and the Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Collaborate with consultants, engineers, subcontractors, and site personnel to align BIM models with construction techniques and installation plans.
• Generate BIM reports, perform quantity take-offs, prepare project schedules, and compile asset information for project deliverables.
• Assist in creating as-built models, asset registers, and project handover packages.
• Conduct quality assurance on BIM models and promote continuous enhancement of BIM procedures and workflows.
• Identify potential constructability challenges and propose model-based practical solutions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior BIM modelers as necessary.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in BIM coordination within construction, with significant focus on ELV and/or MEP systems.
• Strong command of Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, and associated BIM coordination tools.
• Deep knowledge of BIM standards, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), ISO 19650, Common Data Environments (CDE), and Information Management concepts.
• Proficiency in managing multidisciplinary BIM models, conducting clash detection, and overseeing BIM deliverables.
• Familiarity with conventional MEP and ELV design and installation practices.
• Experience in producing quantity take-offs, comprehensive BIM reports, and asset documentation.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Capability to multitask and deliver results autonomously within project timelines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Revizto, Synchro, or other tools for 4D planning and BIM coordination.
• Track record in creating BIM content libraries and customized templates.
• Previous involvement in mentoring junior BIM professionals.
