About the Role
Join a reputable technology company in Belfast that is expanding its engineering team and investing in cutting-edge technologies. This role as a Senior Software Engineer involves hands-on work developing large-scale applications and services, contributing to technical design, and shaping the architecture of solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance large-scale backend applications
- Engage with backend services and gain some full-stack exposure
- Participate in technical architecture and design discussions
- Utilize modern cloud and container technologies such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Drive improvements in development processes and engineering standards
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including other engineers and product units
- Take full ownership of projects from conception through to completion
- Provide support and mentorship to junior developers where needed
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of five years in commercial software development
- Proficient in TypeScript with strong hands-on experience
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes containerization
- Familiarity with AWS or other major cloud service providers
- Solid understanding of software design principles and architectural patterns
- Passionate about creating scalable and reliable software solutions
