Senior Cyber Security Consultant (GRC)

About the Role

MCS Group is collaborating with a well-established technology services firm expanding its cyber consultancy operations in Ireland. This position is primarily advisory and client-facing, focusing on governance, risk, compliance, and operational resilience aspects of cybersecurity rather than hands-on technical duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements from initial discovery through delivery and executive-level reporting.
• Perform assessments such as cyber risk evaluations, maturity analyses, and regulatory gap analyses.
• Provide expert advice on regulatory frameworks including NIS2, DORA, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and CIS Controls.
• Organize and facilitate workshops with boards, senior management, and risk owners.
• Develop actionable improvement plans and roadmaps for remediation.
• Contribute to proposal preparation, pre-sales activities, and support the growth of junior consultants.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive experience in cyber consultancy or advisory roles.
• Deep familiarity with Irish and EU cybersecurity regulations.
• Strong confidence engaging with senior-level client stakeholders.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer are advantageous.
• Right to work in the Republic of Ireland.

Work Arrangement and Additional Information

• The role is hybrid based in Dublin, requiring presence onsite three days per week.
• Some travel to client sites across Ireland will be necessary.
