Role Summary

The Scheduler position entails collaborating with project teams to prepare and manage scheduling data for proposals or contract negotiations. Key tasks involve applying standardized job hours and pricing models, integrating schedules, constructing work logic, detecting constraints and impacts, devising recovery strategies, and reviewing subcontractor schedules to enhance project delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Create scheduling data supporting proposals and contract talks.
  • Establish and sustain schedules for specific disciplines or specialties.
  • Develop schedules by defining work breakdown structures, estimating activity durations, setting logical workflow connections, and compiling job expenditures.
  • Continuously monitor schedules, identify critical tasks, and update plans across disciplines.
  • Generate critical path reports and performance metrics.
  • Determine critical-path activities pertinent to discipline-specific and interdisciplinary demands.
  • Detect and communicate issues potentially affecting project timelines.
  • Validate and assess subcontractor schedules to recommend improvements or workarounds.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent international qualification.
  • 10 to 13 years of relevant experience, or alternatively 14 to 17 years in related roles.
  • Proven expertise in planning, scheduling, cost estimation, cost control, financial reporting, and cost analysis both onsite and at home offices.
  • Supervisory skills including personnel management and training for technical and non-technical staff.
  • Capability to independently plan and schedule with minimal oversight, employing expert judgment regarding technical planning and engineering construction methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced comprehension of Project Controls including engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup phases.
  • Experience working on major construction projects is required.
  • Willingness to relocate to Perth, Western Australia.

  • This is a full-time position requiring onsite presence in Perth.
