Role Overview
This full-time position based in Wellington, New Zealand, is accountable for managing pipeline construction projects from the initial phases all the way to completion. Key responsibilities include planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource coordination, and ensuring projects meet timelines, budgets, quality benchmarks, and safety standards.
Key Duties
- Develop project timelines and schedules to track progress effectively.
- Oversee resource allocation and manage day-to-day operations on project sites.
- Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to maintain alignment on project objectives.
- Supervise site activities to assure quality, safety compliance, and adherence to specifications.
- Manage logistics for materials, equipment, and documentation.
- Conduct risk management and ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies.
- Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders for transparency and status updates.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven Project Management capabilities, encompassing planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience as an Expeditor or in expediting roles to guarantee timely delivery of materials and documentation.
- Background in inspections focused on quality control, safety adherence, and verification against specifications.
- Relevant experience in construction, civil engineering, or pipeline projects with comprehensive knowledge of site operations and safety protocols.
- Strong communication and leadership skills for managing teams and collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency with project management tools and MS Office; familiarity with construction management software is an added benefit.
- A tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and capability to thrive in a high-paced work setting.
