About Bechtel and Expo 2030 Project

The Expo 2030 Riyadh is a global event promoting sustainable development and innovation, planned to occur from October 2030 to March 2031, drawing over 40 million visitors. The event covers a 6 km² site with extensive infrastructure, hosting up to 197 countries and 29 organizations, and will transform into a community-focused legacy development post-event, focusing on sustainability standards.
Job Summary
The role involves managing less complex contracts independently and assisting with higher-value agreements, continuously monitoring contract progress and commercial challenges. Tasks include preparing and approving various contractual documents, correspondence, trackers, and presentations, supporting both pre-award and post-award contract administration activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, issue, and manage routine contract documents adhering to established processes, including tender package management and query resolution.
- Organize meetings and workshops related to contract management.
- Coordinate contract execution with customer teams and maintain control and status reporting.
- Provide pre-award support through reports, presentations, and documentation aligning with the Expo 2030 vision.
- Implement contract and commercial management procedures during contract administration.
- Review contract terms to detect risks, ambiguities, conflicts, or scope deviations and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop compliance tracking methods and address emerging contract issues.
- Ensure timely collection of all deliverables for contract closeout procedures.
- Prepare post-award reporting materials supporting overall project goals.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree or its international equivalent coupled with 6 to 8 years of relevant experience.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in verbal and written English communication and business writing.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, contract negotiations, or cost engineering principles.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Adaptability to diverse environments and ability to handle shifting priorities.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with contracting regulations, policies, and standard practices.
- Training or experience in pricing strategies, contract law, negotiations, and accounting.
- Experience in Middle Eastern or Saudi Arabian work environments.
- Arabic language skills beneficial.
- Expertise in contract formation, claims handling, and drafting terms and conditions.
- Knowledge of contracts such as lump sum, unit price, and cost-plus in construction, design, services, and operations & maintenance contexts.
- Presentation skills and comfort working in multinational teams.
