SAP Authorization Manager

Overview

The SAP Authorization Manager will oversee the Delegation of Authority (DoA) structure throughout the organization, ensuring that business processes, access controls, and governance policies are aligned comprehensively. This role is pivotal for enforcing secure, compliant, and efficient operational authority design, assignment, and ongoing monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, and enhance Delegation of Authority frameworks alongside relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate DoA approvals, updates, and implementations to uphold accountability and governance standards.
• Act as the main point for end-user inquiries about delegated authorities within defined business areas.
• Analyze new and existing business workflows to specify proper authorization and approval needs.
• Create and update operational authority matrices aligned with approved processes and coding schemes.
• Ensure clear, accurate assignment and regulation of delegated authorities in line with internal policies.
• Assess risks linked to authorization configurations and the effectiveness of DoA controls.
• Implement controls to mitigate segregation of duties (SoD) and other access-related risks.
• Review authorization usage, suggesting modifications or restrictions as needed.
• Document risk assessments, mitigations, and approved risk acceptances in technical and business language.
• Serve as the designated Role Manager according to alfanar’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) policies.
• Maintain updated records of user access rights and role assignments.
• Generate periodic reports on authorization compliance and effectiveness for management.
• Provide support for audit processes by supplying relevant evidence and documentation for authorization controls.

• Drive business process enhancements, encouraging automation and IT utilization.
• Promote quality as a key competitive differentiator and maintain compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Adapt flexibly to evolving technologies, management frameworks, and business models.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Analysis & Engineering or a related discipline.
• 6 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
