Role Overview

We are seeking a Saudi Project Manager to oversee AI implementation projects for public and private sector clients in Saudi Arabia. This position involves managing the entire project lifecycle from initiation through to launch and handover. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison with client stakeholders, coordinate diverse teams across Riyadh and Cairo, and collaborate with partners. Familiarity with Saudi government and enterprise project execution is essential to ensure AI products successfully enter production.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously including defining scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and mitigating risks.
• Serve as the daily client contact by facilitating steering committee meetings, status updates, and progress reports in both Arabic and English.
• Translate client needs and tender specifications into detailed delivery plans, work breakdown structures, and acceptance criteria together with engineering and solutions teams.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary and multinational teams encompassing engineering, AI/ML, QA, customer success, and external partners.
• Oversee project documentation complying with government standards, such as project charters, statements of work, change requests, user acceptance test approvals, handover documentation, and closure reports.
• Monitor key milestones linked to invoicing and payments, working closely with finance to maintain on-time collections.
• Identify and escalate risks or dependencies early with well-defined mitigation plans.
• Ensure adherence to local regulatory frameworks and data governance standards (e.g., PDPL, NDMO), collaborating with compliance and technical departments.
• Assist pre-sales teams by providing delivery frameworks, timelines, and effort estimations for proposals and Etimad tenders.
• Capture insights from completed projects to refine Velents' delivery methodologies.

Candidate Requirements

• Saudi citizenship is mandatory.
• A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, business, or a related discipline.
• Between 1 to 3 years' experience leading technology or software project deliveries.
• Demonstrable experience working with Saudi government bodies or major enterprises such as ministries, authorities, banks, telecom companies, or quasi-governmental organizations.
• Proficient knowledge of project management methodologies including waterfall, agile, and hybrid approaches; familiar with tools like Jira and MS Project.
• Fluent in Arabic (native level) and professionally proficient in English, capable of producing formal reports and presentations in both languages.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to manage senior client relationships and competing demands diplomatically.
• Commercial insight into budget handling, change control, and milestone-based invoicing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or agile credentials like PMI-ACP or CSM.
• Experience with AI projects, contact center technologies, chatbots, document management systems, or data platform implementations.
• Understanding of government procurement and tendering through platforms like Etimad.
• Previous collaboration with international or remote engineering groups.
• Familiarity with integrations involving platforms such as Genesys, IBM, or other enterprise systems.
