Role Summary
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is essential for expanding the sales pipeline by generating, qualifying, and nurturing leads within a specific segment or product line. This position demands a proactive approach to prospecting through multiple channels, understanding client needs, and collaborating closely with sales teams to convert prospects into qualified opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business by prospecting inbound and outbound leads via email, phone, social media, events, and campaigns.
- Research and assess prospective customers to understand their challenges and readiness for sales engagement.
- Design and implement targeted outreach sequences, including personalized emails and cold calls to penetrate accounts.
- Engage existing customers to identify opportunities for cross-selling or expansion when relevant.
- Educate and nurture leads, advancing them toward qualified meetings and further buyer journey steps.
- Keep CRM and sales engagement platforms up to date with lead and activity information.
- Work in partnership with Account Executives to ensure seamless transition of qualified leads.
- Collaborate across Sales, Marketing, and related teams to improve lead generation strategies, messaging, and workflows.
- Meet or surpass monthly and quarterly goals related to qualified meetings, sales opportunities, and pipeline contributions.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and performance.
Candidate Profile
- 1 to 3 years experience in sales development or business development roles within SaaS, technology, or fintech sectors.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities capable of engaging prospects across diverse platforms.
- Thrives in a dynamic, remote-friendly, fast-paced working environment.
- Highly organized, self-driven, capable of juggling multiple outreach efforts efficiently.
- Demonstrated success in achieving activity benchmarks and generating pipeline volume.
- Proactive and autonomous with strong initiative-taking capabilities.
- Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement software considered advantageous.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a growth mindset, open to adapting to evolving market or process changes.
- Effective written communication aptitude, skillful at crafting compelling outreach messages and campaigns.
- Experience in HR technology, financial technology, or high-growth startup ecosystems is a plus but not essential.
Compensation and Benefits
- Total pay includes base salary plus target commissions, presented as On-Target Earnings (OTE) in USD for consistency; local currency offers will be market-aligned.
- Salary offers depend on objective criteria including candidate’s experience, skills, and location, excluding prior salary history.
