We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead one of our top-performing locations. Role Overview
In the Restaurant Manager position, you will be entrusted with leading team culture, ensuring operational excellence, and consistently delivering memorable guest experiences. Your leadership will be a vital factor in maintaining high standards across all aspects of restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficiency and quality service
- Build, mentor, and develop a proficient leadership and crew team
- Recruit talented individuals and cultivate a robust pool of future Shift Leaders and Managers
- Promote a positive, energetic, and accountable team culture
- Consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Monitor and drive key operational performance indicators including service, quality, sales, labour, and food costs
- Manage restaurant financials, encompassing sales figures, labour costs, cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory, and other controllable expenses
- Handle rostering, recruitment, performance assessments, and related people management processes
- Uphold GYG’s standards for food and people safety, quality, and restaurant presentation
- Lead by example during peak service periods and set performance benchmarks
- Identify and execute strategies to enhance sales, profitability, and overall restaurant efficiency
- Ensure adherence to GYG operational policies, procedures, and systems
- Collaborate with the broader GYG leadership network to foster ongoing improvements and achieve outstanding results
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated management experience within fast-paced hospitality, retail, or customer service sectors
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop large teams effectively
- Experience managing high-volume operations and navigating busy service times confidently
- A strong background in delivering excellent customer service and achieving operational goals
- Commercially savvy with experience in managing sales, labour, food costs, and other financial KPIs
- Skilled in recruitment, coaching, and performance management
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Capability to nurture future leaders and establish a resilient management team
- A proactive hands-on leadership style, comfortable guiding the team directly on the floor
- Positive, responsible, and solution-driven mindset
- Ability to balance strong people leadership with effective commercial outcomes
