Role Overview

We are seeking a Pursuit Manager to join our team in Brisbane, Queensland. This leadership position will be instrumental in revolutionizing our approach to securing business opportunities by developing proactive strategies, rather than merely responding to tender requests. You will spearhead the early stages of pursuit planning and client engagement, positioning Arcadis to win major projects before they reach the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and positioning of pursuits at early stages by collaborating with business leaders to identify and prioritize opportunities.
• Host pursuit workshops, strategy sessions, and client planning meetings to develop winning approaches.
• Coach teams on crafting competitive value propositions and building compelling win themes.
• Provide expert advice on which pursuits to undertake, contributing to bid/no-bid decisions based on winning potential.
• Manage high-value, complex pursuit processes from initial strategy through proposal submission.
• Ensure that insights into client needs are accurately reflected in proposal development.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to pursuit leaders and senior stakeholders throughout the pursuit cycle.
• Confidently facilitate kickoff meetings, storyboard and review sessions, and presentation rehearsals.
• Engage and influence senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams to coalesce around unified pursuit strategies.
• Enhance organizational capabilities by coaching and promoting best practices across business units.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years’ experience in pursuit and proposal management, preferably within professional services or B2B sectors.
• Demonstrated success in directing complex proposals and steering win strategies.
• Extensive expertise in pursuit planning and early client engagement.
• Proven ability to facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders effectively.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to work at both strategic and detailed operational levels.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong passion for achieving wins.
