Job description

Role Overview

The Production Permitter will deliver crucial support for production permitting and operational tasks, ensuring all work adheres to stringent safety standards. This role demands a minimum of a trade level 6 qualification coupled with relevant hands-on experience. Expertise in preparing and issuing permits is highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Function as Work Permitter across projects, maintenance, and operational undertakings.
  • Lead the planning and scheduling of permit-related activities collaboratively with various business sectors.
  • Authorize permits facilitating maintenance, project execution, vendor services, and other operational tasks, maintaining safe communication with involved stakeholders.
  • Contribute to Safety Risk Assessments supporting project execution as necessary.
  • Facilitate communication between engineering teams and subcontractors to address and resolve technical challenges cautiously.
  • Guarantee that all operations are conducted safely, compliantly, and documented thoroughly.
  • Assist site leadership in organizing and coordinating prominent events such as audits and visits by corporate representatives.
  • Create lock-out tag-out procedures for equipment lacking specific Equipment Specific Instructions (ESIs).
  • Regularly review and update Equipment Specific Instructions (ESIs) and Confined Space Entries (CSEs).
  • Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to sustain uninterrupted supply flow during permitting processes.
  • Provide training and guidance on permitting procedures to vendors and crafting personnel, particularly those new or infrequent on-site.
