Job Overview
This position involves preparing cost estimates, pricing, and scoping of new electricity connections for subdivision projects within Auckland's North Shore distribution area. The role is ideal for individuals with an electrical trade background who wish to transition from fieldwork to a predominantly office-based environment while staying closely connected to the industry.
Main Responsibilities
- Assessing overhead and underground electricity network connections up to 11kV.
- Engaging with customers to determine their power supply needs.
- Preparing detailed quotations, bids, and project cost estimates.
- Coordinating communications between customers, field teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Completing all necessary project documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Possession of a New Zealand electrical trade qualification, preferably including testing and inspection experience.
- Good understanding of overhead and underground distribution networks.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to compose professional customer emails and correspondence confidently.
- Experience with Bluebeam software is advantageous, though training will be provided if needed.
