About the Role
Join Guzman y Gomez Mexican Kitchen as a Full-Time Overnight Shift Leader, working overnight shifts either from 10pm to 6am or 11pm to 7am. This role involves leading a dynamic team to deliver exceptional dining experiences reflecting authentic flavours that bring people together.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with managerial staff to train, motivate, and lead the team, maintaining high energy throughout the shift.
- Promote a strong customer-first attitude by providing exceptional service to both new and returning guests.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, accurate cash handling, thorough cleaning, and effective stock control.
- Represent the values, policies, and procedures of Guzman y Gomez, ensuring all crew members embody these standards.
- Communicate effectively with the restaurant team to ensure cohesion and alignment on shift objectives.
- Manage labor and cost of goods sold (COGS) efficiently to contribute to a profitable store operation.
- Supervise deliveries carefully, verifying orders against invoices for accuracy.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in leadership or supervisory roles within fast-paced environments.
- Proven history of delivering excellent customer service.
- Either completed or willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor certification.
- Either completed or prepared to undertake Responsible Service of Alcohol training.
