Role Overview

As a Restaurant Hostess at Raffles Dubai, you will warmly welcome and seat guests at Azur and Solo Italian Restaurants, manage table reservations, and efficiently coordinate guest flow to ensure optimal service standards. This role reports directly to the Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests courteously and guide them to their tables.
• Manage telephone booking systems and ensure reservations are neatly maintained and organized.
• Assist with table and display preparations.
• Update and manage the guest database accurately.
• Comprehend and apply Luxury Quality Assurance (LQA) and Hotel Standards in all guest interactions.
• Respond attentively to guest complaints, escalating issues to supervisory staff when necessary.
• Participate in service training to fully understand and deliver expected service levels.
• Maintain timely and accurate outlet reports according to schedules.
• Support food & beverage service teams during peak demand by assisting in various areas including section management and preparations.
• Keep hostess station and surrounding areas clean, including menus.
• Maintain positive collaboration with colleagues and different hotel departments.
• Prepare necessary operational materials for back-office functions.
• Uphold hygiene, safety, and sanitation policies.
• Provide guest checks and carry out cashiering duties when required.
• Control restaurant guest flow to maximize table turnover.
• Train colleagues in hostess protocols and standards.
• Ensure readiness of restaurant and staff before opening in line with standards.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.
• Assist other Food & Beverage outlets during busy periods as needed.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Professional grooming and presentation at all times.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build comfortable rapport with guests.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Keen to learn new skills and share knowledge within the team.
• Commitment to embodying the Raffles brand promise and luxury service standards in all interactions.
• Supportive of creating an inclusive environment where every individual feels respected and valued.
• Secondary education completion is required.
• Minimum of one year experience in hotel food and beverage service.
