Racker/Unracker Position in Seattle, WA

Job Overview

Valence Surface Technologies is seeking a full-time Racker/Unracker to join our team in Seattle, WA. This role reports directly to the Department Supervisor and offers shifts on either the 1st shift (Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm) or the 2nd shift (Monday through Friday, 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm). Compensation ranges from $21.30 to $25.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Determine and apply the appropriate racking method based on the size, shape, and quantity of items to be processed.
• Secure items to racks or hoists using wires or clips before processing and correctly remove them from racks or bars post-processing.
• Carry out unracking operations, conduct quality inspections, and verify processing completion with meticulous attention to detail.
• Apply basic mathematical calculations as necessary within the workspace.
• Complete all necessary documentation according to company and processing standards.
• Wear designated personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols rigorously.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area by promptly disposing of scraps, wires, and waste materials.
• Properly handle and dispose of hazardous waste materials in compliance with guidelines.
• Stand continuously for shifts lasting between 6 to 8 hours.
• Communicate proficiently in English in reading, writing, and verbal interactions.
