Quantity Surveyor Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor Engineer to take charge of measuring quantities, conducting site assessments, preparing interim payment requests, and managing commercial documentation for a large-scale infrastructure project. The selected individual will ensure precise measurement, documentation, and verification of completed quantities and payments, aligned with approved drawings, project specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and contractual agreements.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and validate quantity take-offs derived from approved drawings, project specifications, and BOQs.
• Carry out site measurements and verify the quantities of completed constructions.
• Compile monthly interim payment applications with comprehensive supporting documentation.
• Assess subcontractors’ invoices and payment requests relative to verified site progress.
• Create measurement sheets and quantity breakdowns for consultant approval.
• Maintain precise records of executed, approved, and invoiced quantities.
• Identify and assess variations, additional works, omissions, and scope changes.
• Assist in drafting and justifying variation orders and commercial claims.
• Reconcile quantities from tender, approved BOQs, and actual work performed.
• Collaborate closely with Site, Technical Office, Planning, Cost Control, QA/QC, Procurement, and Contracts departments.
• Track quantity and payment statuses, promptly flagging discrepancies or commercial risks.
• Generate regular reports on quantities, progress, and payments for project management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
• At least 7 years of pertinent experience as a Quantity Surveyor Engineer.
• Demonstrated involvement in major civil and infrastructure projects.
• Strong expertise in quantity take-offs, BOQs, interim payment applications, subcontractor invoice reviews, and managing variation orders.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and contractual documents.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and quantity take-off software tools.
• Excellent numerical analysis, coordination, and documentation capabilities.
