Role Overview: Pre Contract Quantity Surveyor

The position involves detailed review and analysis of architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and tender documents to prepare extensive quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) aligned with project needs. Responsibilities also include identifying drawing discrepancies, managing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, preparing tender documents, conducting value engineering to optimize costs, and maintaining up-to-date cost data. Supporting cost control by tracking scope changes, preparing cost plans, and conducting post-tender analyses are also key duties. Additionally, reports such as resource usage, material wastage, and total manhours must be compiled, alongside labour productivity assessments incorporated into budgeting. The role demands competence in preparing BOQs per POMI standards and the adaptability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BE or B.Sc.)
• At least 10 to 15 years of experience in both pre- and post-contract quantity surveying
• Proficiency in relevant software tools, including AutoCAD and Plan Swift
• Strong capability in reading and interpreting technical documents
