Job Summary

The position entails serving as a Quality Inspector within the Quality Assurance/Control department, ensuring product quality as per established standards in the defence manufacturing domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of cartridge cases, adhering strictly to approved drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Gauges, and Height Gauges for dimensional inspections.
• Conduct visual examinations to detect defects, damages, or deviations in quality.
• Verify essential dimensions and process parameters at specific stages during manufacturing.
• Ensure all inspection tasks follow standardized inspection procedures and work instructions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection outcomes and documented quality data.
• Identify and segregate products that are non-conforming and report such findings promptly.
• Liaise with Production and Quality teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Assist in root-cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive measures to eliminate recurrent defects.
• Guarantee proper marking and traceability of inspected materials throughout production.
• Maintain cleanliness and calibration of all measuring devices and ensure their appropriate handling.
• Follow all applicable quality, safety, and workplace protocols.

Job Conditions and Work Schedule

Employees should be prepared to work in day or night shifts on a rotational basis, with shifts lasting either 8 or 12 hours depending on production demands.

Location and Relocation

The role is located at Engineering Park Heavy Industrial Area, Hathkhoj, Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India. Candidates must be willing to relocate as required.

Eligibility and Preferred Qualifications

Ideal applicants hold an ITI or Diploma qualification in Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy, or a related technical field. Experience in quality or dimensional inspection and familiarity with precision measuring tools is preferred. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications with excellent observation and attention to detail are critical. Fresh graduates with matching technical credentials and eagerness to learn are welcome.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary is negotiable and aligned with the candidate's qualifications, competence, and experience. Additional benefits include leave encashment and Provident Fund contributions.
