Role Overview

The position entails comprehensive mechanical and electrical maintenance duties within the Maintenance Department, located at Engineering Park Heavy Industrial Area, Hathkhoj, Bhilai.

Mechanical Maintenance Duties

• Execute preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on production machinery.
• Identify and resolve mechanical issues in Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) and related equipment.
• Repair, replace, and adjust mechanical parts as necessary.
• Inspect hydraulic and pneumatic mechanisms along with other machinery components.
• Respond swiftly to machine malfunctions to reduce downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections to detect mechanical faults before failure.

Electrical Maintenance Duties

• Identify and fix electrical problems in SPMs and industrial machines.
• Maintain and repair electrical motors, control panels, wiring, sensors, and other components.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting to limit production interruption.
• Regularly inspect electrical systems, including panels and connections.
• Support troubleshooting of PLC machines, sensors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and automation equipment.
• Assist with electrical system installation, testing, commissioning, and upkeep.

Additional Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Production and other teams for smooth machinery operations.
• Follow scheduled preventive maintenance routines.
• Document maintenance activities including breakdown and preventive check reports.
• Carry out root-cause analysis for repeated equipment failures and suggest corrective measures.
• Ensure safe use of maintenance tools and adherence to electrical safety standards.
• Maintain clean and organized maintenance and production areas.
• Support installation, testing, trial runs, and process enhancements for machinery.

Working Conditions

• Work includes day and night shifts on a rotational basis.
• Shift durations may be 8 or 12 hours dependent on operational needs.
• Relocation to Bhilai, Chhattisgarh is expected.

Compensation

Salary is competitive and will be based on qualifications and experience.

Candidate Profile

• Educational background: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Fitter, Electrician, Electronics, or related technical fields.
• Experience desired in both electrical and mechanical maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Understanding of mechanical components like bearings, shafts, and couplings.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical equipment including motors, panels, sensors, and relays.
• Basic skills with PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams and maintenance instructions.
• Experience or knowledge of working with SPMs, CNCs, and automated equipment is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and teamwork abilities.
