Job description
About Egis Advisory Service Line
Egis Advisory Service Line leads management of large-scale urban and infrastructure developments for distinguished clients in the region, including giga projects and municipal initiatives. Combining engineering, architecture, and technology expertise, Egis is instrumental in shaping future urban environments.
Role Overview
This position is critical in driving visionary infrastructure projects, handling strategic and technical elements essential for successful development outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain ownership of the Project Charter and Project Execution Plan throughout the engagement duration.
- Establish and safeguard the baseline schedule, incorporating client dependencies alongside Egis activities, allowing re-baselining only through formal change control.
- Plan field operations, ensuring timely site access, permits, and escort arrangements prior to mobilizations.
- Constitute and facilitate governance forums including steering committees and weekly workstream meetings to ensure decision-making and action completion.
- Enforce delegated authority and escalation matrices so actions are taken at appropriate levels, each escalation providing options and recommendations.
- Oversee deliverable lifecycle stages including drafts, validation workshops, client feedback, responses, approvals, and internal peer reviews before submissions.
- Manage stage gate processes based on meeting defined conditions rather than promises, documenting exceptions with ownership and deadlines for resolution.
- Administer comprehensive change control from initiation through resolution, maintaining a change log indicating cumulative impacts.
- Maintain registers for risks, issues, and information requests, providing updates on movement and escalation of overdue items.
- Implement document control systems, including an EDMS and program dashboard to monitor deliverables, approvals, and response timelines.
- Provide monthly reports detailing schedule variances, deliverable progress, risk updates, and client decisions required.
- Manage performance of subconsultants in adherence to schedules and acceptance standards.
- Apply ISO 9001 quality controls to templates, review procedures, and document releases.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical.
- At least 8 years of experience in project or program management, including a minimum of 3 years executing projects within Saudi Arabia.
- Possession of PMP certification or an equivalent qualification.
- Proven success managing multi-site consultancy projects involving significant field mobilizations and subconsultant coordination.
- Demonstrated accountability for project execution plans, change control mechanisms, and stage gate frameworks.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards; familiarity with ISO 22301 and ISO 31000 is advantageous.
- Experience or exposure to quantitative schedule risk analysis and Monte Carlo contingency techniques is a plus.
- Strong capability in stakeholder management, particularly with public sector and sovereign entities.
- Fluent in both English and Arabic languages.
- Registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers or eligible for registration.
