About the Role

Join Parsons Corporation as a Project Director in Riyadh, where you will have the opportunity to lead a large-scale complex construction project from inception to completion. This role demands strategic leadership across design, construction, commercial, risk, procurement, stakeholder engagement, and project closeout processes to ensure timely and successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage ongoing construction activities to meet approved timelines and contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial team to oversee contract administration and ensure adherence to contract terms.
  • Lead the design coordination among Parsons’ design team, the client, and external designers to finalize design packages before tendering.
  • Negotiate scope changes with clients and contractors, evaluate risks, and guide implementation strategies.
  • Coordinate with project teams including Commercial, Project Controls, Construction, Technical, and Quality to formulate and execute project plans.
  • Monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies in partnership with team members.
  • Identify and manage procurement of long-lead items aligned with the project schedule.
  • Convene and lead weekly progress, technical, and quality meetings with stakeholders to resolve issues and define action plans.
  • Manage handover activities, including preparing Taking-Over Certificates and closing out site matters.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, fostering a strong HSE culture among contractors and project staff.
  • Build positive relationships with the client and collaborate with Business Development to explore further opportunities.
  • Provide regular progress reports to Parsons Program Management, highlighting milestones, risks, and potential schedule impacts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, or related fields.
  • At least 15 years of direct experience managing large-scale, complex construction projects.
  • Minimum 10 years in leadership roles focusing on major multidisciplinary projects.
  • Proven expertise in volumetric and advanced manufacturing techniques, particularly within premium residential asset projects.
  • Strong track record of successfully leading complex projects as a senior leader or Project Director.
  • Proficiency managing multiple internal and external stakeholders to meet project objectives.
  • Experience building and directing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving skills, and a proactive delivery mindset.
  • Excellent ability to manage stakeholders and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • Clear communicator able to articulate project goals and priorities to various delivery teams including Project Managers and Engineers.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience delivering large projects within the Gulf region is an advantage.
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge in complex construction environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects through all phases: design, procurement, construction, handover, and closeout.
  • Capability to operate efficiently in complex client and stakeholder settings.
