About the Role

Join Parsons in Abu Dhabi as a Planning Engineer, a position dedicated to overseeing planning, scheduling, and progress control for significant infrastructure and utility projects. This role encompasses programme reporting and providing support for time-related claims and Extensions of Time (EOT).

Core Responsibilities

  • Critically review contractor baseline and updated schedules, ensuring they comply with contract requirements and Parsons' standards.
  • Develop and manage integrated master schedules across multiple packages, monitor dependencies, and verify resource and schedule feasibility.
  • Analyze progress updates to detect delays and critical path events, proposing mitigation measures and recommendations for changes or variations.
  • Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, including program analyses, dashboards, and presentations aligned with project milestones.
  • Assist with claims and EOT assessments by applying delay analysis techniques such as Time Impact Analysis and window analysis; maintain accurate records and trackers.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders through progress and coordination meetings; manage contractor notifications and issue performance notices as necessary.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in planning and scheduling for infrastructure or utility projects.
  • Proficiency with Primavera scheduling software.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting claims, EOT assessments, and delay analyses.
  • Strong communication and report-writing abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working in consultancy, client supervision, or project management consultancy roles is advantageous.
