Role Overview

We seek an exceptionally organized and execution-oriented Project Manager to join our Data Platform team. This role involves close collaboration with engineering leadership to shepherd strategic projects, coordinate cross-departmental initiatives, boost operational efficiencies, and ensure timely delivery of critical programs. The ideal candidate thrives on simplifying complex challenges, managing diverse stakeholders, and steering execution involving engineering, product, infrastructure, security, and business groups. While deep software engineering expertise is not required, familiarity with fast-evolving tech environments and communicating effectively with technical teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle execution of strategic projects within the Data Platform division.
• Facilitate coordination among Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, Security, Compliance, and other business units on cross-functional efforts.
• Monitor project timelines, dependencies, potential risks, and actionable items to guarantee punctual delivery.
• Organize project planning sessions, sprint cycles, roadmap evaluations, and routine status updates.
• Develop management reports, project dashboards, executive updates, and presentation collateral.
• Spot and address delivery challenges and bottlenecks proactively by collaborating with stakeholders on mitigation strategies.
• Ensure follow-through on critical decisions and completion of action items.
• Support leadership with overarching business planning, strategic initiatives, and operational undertakings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Project Management, PMO, Business Operations, Program Management, or related roles within technology-focused organizations.
• Demonstrated ability managing complex projects involving multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the capability to juggle numerous priorities effectively.
• Strong attention to detail paired with solid problem-solving aptitude.
• Comfortable engaging with engineering teams and comprehending technical discussions at a conceptual level.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management proficiency, bilingual in English and Chinese to engage Chinese-speaking stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience within Data Platform, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Infrastructure, or Backend Engineering environments.
• Knowledge of SQL, data pipeline development, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), or contemporary data platform technologies.
• Background in fintech, cryptocurrency, financial services, or other dynamic technology sectors.
• Project management certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or PRINCE2.
