Role Overview

The Production Manager will oversee the full production lifecycle including planning, manufacturing, dispatch, and after-sales support. The role demands ensuring compliance with quality standards, controlling costs efficiently, and guaranteeing timely delivery of industrial process equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate extensively with Design, Sales, Purchase, and Stores departments to synchronize production objectives.
• Examine technical datasheets and confirm manufacturing drawings are finalized and approved promptly.
• Create Material Requisition Notes strictly based on approved designs and client validations.
• Organize, implement, and supervise production schedules to fulfill client delivery commitments.
• Assess whether fabrication should be conducted internally or outsourced considering capacity and cost-effectiveness.
• Identify, onboard, and supervise external suppliers while monitoring their production and quality.
• Coordinate with procurement to assure raw material availability, avoiding production delays.
• Maintain superior quality, finishing, and exact compliance with engineering specifications.
• Lead factory acceptance tests, client inspections, machine trials, and prepare for dispatch.
• Keep comprehensive project documentation including master drawings, as-built layouts, user manuals, and quality reports.
• Offer technical support for installation, commissioning, and post-sales servicing at client sites.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated production, shop floor, or plant management experience, ideally in heavy fabrication or industrial machinery manufacturing.
• Solid knowledge of engineering drawings, production techniques, and machining and welding standards.
• Strong skills in cross-functional coordination, vendor management, negotiation, and project monitoring.
• Academic credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
