Senior Manager - Production & Technical Integration

Overview

As the Senior Manager for Production & Technical Integration at Expo 2030 Riyadh, you will spearhead the comprehensive management of Events & Entertainment (E&E) production operations throughout all venues and event sites. Your role entails orchestrating planning, coordination, operational preparedness, and live delivery across diverse productions, while managing venue operations, back-of-house functions, rehearsals, logistics, and show operations. Crucially, you will ensure that production deliveries are harmoniously integrated with site-wide operational services, fostering excellence across the Expo environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee Expo-wide E&E production operations, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and according to sanctioned plans.
• Manage production schedules, workflow processes, and resource allocation for optimal performance.
• Monitor production activities to address and resolve any operational challenges that arise, maintaining seamless continuity.
• Supervise venue operations and back-of-house activities to confirm that venues and production areas remain fully operational and prepared.
• Coordinate venue setup, transitions, and production support aligned with event demands, while enforcing compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Lead rehearsal planning and execution to guarantee readiness at operational, production, and stakeholder levels.
• Oversee show operations, ensuring smooth execution and collaboration among production teams across various locations.
• Manage logistics related to equipment, materials, personnel, and resources, ensuring efficient deployment and recovery.
• Conduct readiness assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address risks and operational gaps prior to event execution.
• Integrate production needs with broader site operational functions, ensuring alignment and supportive coordination across teams.
• Serve as the main operational liaison between production units and internal stakeholders, providing updates, assessments, and performance reporting.
• Foster cross-functional cooperation to guarantee the effective delivery of extraordinary E&E experiences at the Expo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Production Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
• Master’s degree in a related discipline is advantageous.

Preferred Certifications

• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certifications related to project management, event production, operational risk, or health, safety & environment (HSE) standards.

Experience Requirements

• At least eight years of pertinent professional experience for candidates with a bachelor’s degree, including supervisory or leadership roles.
• Proven experience managing large-scale entertainment, event, or production operations in complex environments involving multiple stakeholders.
• Expertise in venue and back-of-house management, rehearsals, logistics, and live show operations.
• Demonstrated capabilities in operational readiness planning and execution for live event productions.
• Hands-on experience integrating production needs with wide-reaching site operational services.
• Adept at collaborating with internal operational teams to facilitate planning and delivery of event productions.
• Experience managing contractors, service providers, and multidisciplinary teams under fast-paced event conditions.
• Background in delivering major events such as exhibitions, festivals, or large-scale public experiences.
