Electrical Service Engineer (Industrial Machinery)

Overview

We are seeking a practical and experienced Electrical Service Engineer to join our team based in Vasai East. This position requires expertise in installing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical panels, PLCs, and VFDs used in industrial machinery. The job involves frequent travel to client manufacturing facilities to carry out maintenance and installation tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to customer production plants to install, commission, and verify industrial process machinery functionality.
• Analyze electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to diagnose and repair faults in electrical panels, sensors, wiring, and motors.
• Troubleshoot electrical wiring faults and programming issues, with a strong focus on relay logic and motor control centers.
• Configure and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and assist in basic PLC logic and automation input configuration.
• Provide urgent breakdown support at client sites to reduce manufacturing downtime.
• Generate service reports, obtain customer approval post-commissioning, and liaise with the factory team in Vasai.
• Design electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical or similar software.
• Choose suitable electrical components including motors, switchgear, sensors, temperature controllers, and safety relays.
• Develop and debug PLC, HMI, and VFD programs from manufacturers like Siemens, Delta, Schneider, or Allen-Bradley for machinery control.
• Perform factory acceptance testing of control panels and support field installation and commissioning.
• Use multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers effectively.

Candidate Profile

• ITI, Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 1 to 4 years of dedicated experience in service or maintenance engineering specifically for industrial machinery, automation systems, electrical panel manufacturing, or industrial plant maintenance.
• Skilled in reading circuit diagrams, using multimeters, executing panel wiring, and configuring VFD parameters.
• Willing and able to undertake short and long-distance travel to client sites.
• Preference for candidates located near Vasai to facilitate efficient onsite reporting.
• Proven history managing on-site installations, preventive maintenance, and handling customer machine breakdown scenarios.
