Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Product Engineer passionate about transforming practical customer challenges into seamless, reliable software. This role involves collaborating closely with founders, designers, and end users to identify essential needs, develop user-centric solutions, and continually iteratively improve the product based on real-world usage.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage directly with property managers and internal teams to comprehend workflows and pinpoint pain points that merit solutions.
• Develop end-to-end features encompassing design, frontend, backend, integrations, quality testing, and deployment, taking full ownership of product performance.
• Create intuitive user interfaces alongside designers, enabling users to accomplish tasks swiftly and confidently amidst complex short-term rental operations.
• Implement event-driven automations that eradicate repetitive tasks such as scheduling cleanings, sending check-in details, and generating owner reports.
• Leverage AI including LLMs and AI agents to streamline guest communication, maintenance request management, pricing assistance, and portfolio oversight.
• Develop and maintain APIs and integrations with platforms like Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, and Google to connect the rental ecosystem.
• Address operational challenges involving real-time reservation syncing, dynamic pricing, smart lock management, guest engagement, forecasting, and financial workflows.
• Continuously monitor customer feedback and usage analytics to refine features, emphasizing adoption rates, efficiency gains, error reduction, and user satisfaction.
• Make thoughtful technical choices balancing rapid delivery, maintainability, security, and reliability to support growing numbers of operators and listings.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Proven track record in building and deploying production-grade software with a full-stack perspective.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, or comparable technologies.
• Strong expertise in APIs, database management, third-party integrations, and cloud-based architectures.
• Product-oriented mindset with curiosity about user needs and capability to navigate ambiguous problem spaces to practical solutions.
• Excellent judgment regarding usability, scope management, and technical tradeoffs.
• Confidence collaborating directly with customers, designers, and leadership teams.
• Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership over outcomes.
