Key Responsibilities

  • Manage various tender projects within the planning department.
  • Develop detailed tender schedules (levels 2 to 4), including narratives and progress curves that meet bid requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Validate that all programmes comply with schedule specifications, employer requirements, contracts, and internal standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in creating 4D models and 2D phasing plans that illustrate construction sequencing, logistics, and phasing techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to clarify project milestones, scope, sequencing, and construction methodologies.
  • Prepare tender programmes covering all project phases: design, procurement, preconstruction, construction, commissioning, and handover, including delay analysis and milestone forecasting.
  • Manage planning databases and generate progress reports for internal and client assessments.
  • Provide accurate data inputs for payment applications and contract evaluations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for tender planning inquiries, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, including participating in schedule workshops and mid-bid meetings.
  • Integrate resource and cost loading into schedules in partnership with estimators.
  • Mentor junior planning staff promoting best practices, and provide coverage for planner duties as needed.
  • Ensure all planning deliverables comply with company SOPs and client standards, escalating issues and proposing solutions as necessary.
  • Conduct staff training when required and assume senior tender planner roles during absences.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

  • Ability to perform all outlined duties effectively.
  • Educational background in construction-related degree or trade.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in project planning for large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong communication skills and the capability to work well within teams.
  • Proficiency in IT and specialized software including Oracle Primavera P6 and Excel.
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines consistently.
  • Commitment to health and safety principles and practices.
