Role Scope

The Operations Director role demands extensive senior management experience in a dynamic environment. Candidates must possess exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication abilities, along with a proven track record of implementing innovative solutions. This position partners closely with the Managing Director to plan strategically and elevate Mercury's operational productivity and success.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior executives to define performance targets and long-term operational strategies.
  • Enhance efficiency and output by analyzing processes and promoting cooperation across departments.
  • Establish strategic objectives to improve operational effectiveness and productivity.
  • Partner with project management to create and oversee financial and budget plans.
  • Evaluate current operations and recommend improvements when needed.
  • Design, deploy, and oversee daily operational systems and workflows that track goals and progress.
  • Foster strong relationships with department leaders, external collaborators, and suppliers for operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Track and analyze key operational metrics to ensure timely task completion.
  • Formulate growth strategies for organizational programs by identifying and applying process enhancements to optimize output and reduce costs.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and legal regulations.
  • Collaborate with support teams to cultivate a trustworthy, inclusive, and efficient workplace.
  • Guarantee prompt and accurate completion of the Month End reporting process.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of senior leadership experience in a relevant field.
  • Deep understanding of diverse operational functions, including finance, customer service, and employee management.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for planning and administering operational processes to maximize efficiency.
  • Proven capacity to restructure roles and systems to enhance speed, efficiency, and agility.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable industry regulations and legal standards.
  • Experience developing budgets and business plans.
  • Adeptness in crafting innovative productivity-enhancing solutions.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills in both internal and external contexts.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational competencies validated by prior achievements.
  • Familiarity with business management software platforms such as SAP, ERP, and CRM to analyze data and measure performance.
