Job description

About Mercury

Mercury is a fintech company dedicated to serving builders and creators, providing a comprehensive financial platform designed to scale effortlessly. Our Dashboard serves as the central hub uniting home, search, tasks, notifications, and prioritization, aiming to feel seamless and intuitive despite growing complexity beneath.

Mercury is not an FDIC-insured bank; banking services are offered through Choice Financial Group and Column N.A., Members FDIC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and shape a high-impact, initially undefined product surface including Tasks, Home, and Notifications areas.
  • Drive the redesign of the Mercury home page to determine critical content and functionality aligned with evolving customer needs.
  • Craft unified logic that integrates tasks, lifecycle updates, and in-product alerts cohesively.
  • Collaborate deeply with Command teams, agents, and other product groups who rely on these Dashboards to guide user actions.
  • Establish clear product direction and create a prioritized roadmap balancing user demands and dependencies from other teams.
  • Work closely with design partners to influence both visual presentation and interaction patterns of essential Dashboard interfaces.
  • Work independently in uncertain conditions to envision, plan, and execute a multi-phase transformation of cross-functional Dashboard experiences.
  • Communicate regularly with company leadership to present strategies, roadmaps, and tradeoffs.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to generate insights that drive product development.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years in product management, ideally with experience on platform or horizontal teams focused on quality user experiences; fintech dashboard experience is a plus.
  • Strong appreciation for design, understanding that the look and feel of a product is fundamental to its function.
  • Proven ability to clarify ambiguous concepts into definitive points of view with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable and effective working alongside designers as collaborative peers, with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage complex problems end-to-end across research, design, engineering, go-to-market, and stakeholder engagement independently.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Mercury is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. We welcome applicants without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation, or other legally protected categories. We provide reasonable accommodations through the recruitment process when requested.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation includes competitive base salary, stock options or RSUs, and benefits, benchmarked regularly against SaaS and fintech markets. Offers reflect candidate experience, skills, location, and pay equity considerations.

For Canadian employees, the target base salary range for this role is USD $189,700 to $237,100.
