Role Overview

The CSA Estimator will take charge of creating precise and comprehensive Civil, Structural, and Architectural estimates in collaboration with the pre-construction team. The role involves preparing Bills of Quantities (BoQ) by analyzing 2D drawings and/or BIM models, selecting the most efficient method per project. Engaging with the local supply chain is essential to gather current market quotations to factor into tenders. The estimator will deliver fully priced bids aligned with client requirements and finalize Client Pricing Documents for submission.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate closely with the Lead Estimator and the pre-construction team to complete estimations and present findings to the Group CSA Estimation Manager.
• Manage tender documentation, thoroughly reviewing drawings, specifications, addenda, and related documents to determine measurable work items for the BoQ.
• Demonstrate proficiency in CostX software for estimation, including 2D and 5D capabilities.
• Source quotations from local suppliers and subcontractors, critically evaluate these for scope and pricing accuracy, and incorporate appropriate figures into the bid.
• Collaborate with the construction team to acquire rates reflecting real costs and insights from past projects.
• Track and analyze all tender addenda issued pre- and post-tender, applying revisions and updated pricing accordingly.
• Exhibit strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines critical to successful BoQ preparation.
• Travel occasionally, possibly overnight, for client meetings related to bid stages as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Over seven years’ experience in quantity surveying or estimating roles.
• Experience with data centre Civil, Structural, Architectural (CSA) commercial projects is preferred.
• Skilled in CostX, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and BIM360 software.
• Proven history working on projects valued between €10 million and €15 million or more.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all estimations.
• Strong competence in Bill of Quantities preparation and pricing strategies.
