Position Overview

The role involves applying paint, stains, and various finishes to surfaces such as walls, ceilings, and furniture using tools including brushes, spray guns, or rollers. Preparation of surfaces includes applying primers or sealers and removing old finishes through methods like sanding, stripping, wire brushing, burning, or abrasive blasting. Protective coverings must be applied to safeguarding areas during the painting process, alongside displaying appropriate paint signage. The position requires maintenance of painting equipment and coordination with vendors to adjust paint colors as needed.

Workplace Safety and Conduct

The candidate is expected to strictly follow company safety, security policies, and procedures, report any maintenance or safety issues, and complete requisite safety training and certifications. Maintaining a clean, professional appearance, ensuring confidentiality of company information, and protecting assets are essential. The role further involves greeting guests warmly following company standards, assisting individuals with disabilities, and clear and professional communication.

Physical Requirements and Job Duties

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Capability to move up and down ladders safely.
• Capacity to handle, move and carry objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods.
• Perform any additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possession of a technical, trade, or vocational school diploma.
• Minimum of one year work experience in a related field.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No licensing or certification necessary.
