Laundry Executive

Position Overview

The Laundry Executive will manage inventory of uniforms and linens, oversee laundry supplies, and ensure equipment is functional and safe. This role includes training staff on laundry processes and safety measures, monitoring laundry machinery operations, inspecting linens for damage, and ensuring timely completion of laundry requests from various departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain complete inventory records for uniforms and linens.
• Conduct monthly assessments of laundry supplies.
• Report any equipment issues, maintenance needs, and safety hazards promptly to supervisors.
• Train employees on all relevant laundry procedures, safety guidelines, and equipment use.
• Ensure laundry requests are fulfilled accurately and timely across departments.
• Operate and supervise washing, dry cleaning, and drying machines.
• Inspect linens and terry cloth materials for any damage or defects.
• Support management in recruitment, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of staff.
• Adhere to company policies regarding safety and security, report accidents or hazards, and complete required safety certifications and training.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance and confidentiality regarding proprietary company information.
• Communicate effectively with team members and prepare accurate written documentation.
• Build and maintain positive work relationships and contribute to team goals.
• Identify and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and reduce costs.
• Visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machinery for defects.
• Physically capable of standing, sitting, walking for long periods, moving objects up to 25 pounds, and navigating various work environments including confined, uneven, or elevated spaces.
• Perform other reasonable duties as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• At least one year of relevant work experience in laundry operations.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
