As a Paint Sales Associate, your key focus will be offering quick, approachable service by proactively engaging customers, assessing their needs, and delivering knowledgeable assistance.

Responsibilities

• Follow the GET Model of customer service by Greeting, Engaging, and Thanking every customer.
• Proactively approach customers anywhere in the store and guide them to the correct merchandise.
• Use open-ended questions to understand customers' project requirements and expertise levels.
• Promote additional services such as Special Services, Tool Rental, Pro Desk, and Pro Services.
• Discuss product options including good, better, and best to suit customer needs, and suggest related items or services beyond the department.
• Educate customers comprehensively about their entire project.
• Utilize empowerment programs as needed to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Maintain daily stock upkeep, ensuring all products are properly signed, displayed, and the area is clean.
• Continuously update and maintain product knowledge within your department and adjacent areas.
• Actively seek out new knowledge about all products and services offered.
• Adhere strictly to safety policies, loss prevention procedures, and promote a safe working environment.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Expect a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Work in a warehouse setting that may be noisy and dusty, with frequent temperature changes due to open doors.
• Physical tasks will include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in retail or related trade is advantageous.

Additional Information

• Supervision is provided by the Department Supervisor.
• No travel requirements for this position.
• Compensation ranges between $18.85 and $19.85 per hour.
